Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka ʻAina I Ka Pono, “The Life of the Land is perpetuated in Righteousness” is the motto of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi that was bequeathed to all by King Kamehameha III. It underlies the spirit of aloha and reinforces our mission to do good in the world in the name of Christ. Members of the Cathedral's Outreach Committee actively participate in a variety of community outreach programs.

Family PromiseAssisting families transitioning from homelessness to sustainable living arrangements. Family Promise is a unique approach that works intensively with a small group of homeless families, assisting them to find homes. Since 2007, over 80% of families in the program have found sustainable homes within three months of entering the program! During the time the families are in the program, they are housed for a week at a time in a church. Over 50 churches in Honolulu participate in this program. St. Andrew’s assists First Christian Church (Makiki) by providing dinners for the families four times each year. Help us prepare a meal for the families at least once a year!
