In June, the Cathedral will be shining the light on reentry for those coming out of prison. We would like to prepare backpacks so they have more than trash bags to carry their belongings as they are released from prison. This is an invitation to join with others in supporting paʻahao, prisoners, nearing the end of their sentences and transitioning back into the community. 

Throughout the month of June there will be plastic bins by the font in the Cathedral for donated items. The list below offers many options – Thank you for your generosity in donations, and especially in prayer.
Merciful God, to whom the secrets of the heart lie open, who recognizes the just and makes righteous the guilty, hear our prayers for our brothers and sisters held in prison and those reentering the world. Grant that through patience and hope they may find relief in their suffering and soon return unhindered to their families and to their communities.
